Interesting festivity and nice traditions! We haven't such as this festivity. We celebrate "Grandparents' Day" on the 2nd October, but it's a very recent festivity and we haven't particular traditions linked to that one.
RispondiEliminaThanks very much!
If I understood well, Baba Marta is March that brings every year spring. This day isn't a grandmother's celebration but a spring celebration: you celebrate the arrival of spring and with it the birth of new lives! OK?
RispondiEliminaYou are right, Gina! "Grandma Marta" is the beginning of spring. It's the first spring celebration. Our children like it very much, especially martenitsas.
RispondiEliminaInto Bulgarian "spring" is "пролет". Into Italian- "primavera", isn't it?
Kind regards, Bulgarian Team
