The Three R's or Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Dear, friends! On 22nd April is Earth Day! We'd like to share with you the song "Three R's" and to learn the words: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. They are important. Hope that you will like it and sing with us!
Kind regards, Reny, Darina and their pupils

If you're going to the market to buy some juice
You've got to bring your own bags and you learn to reduce your waste
And if your brother or your sister's got some cool clothes
You could try them on before you buy some more of those
Reuse, we've got to learn to reuse
And if the first two R's don't work out
And if you've got to make some trash
Don't throw it out
Recycle, we've got to learn to recycle,
We've got to learn to
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle...

Let's Practice Past Tense

Regular verbs are easy so let's practice them!

Our flag in the History/ La nostra Bandiera nella storia

Here are the changes of our Flag on the TIME LINE / Ecco i cambiamenti della nostra bandiera sulla LINEA DEL TEMPO:

Children are singing a patriotic song titled "La Bandiera di tre colori" ( The three coloured flag).
It says:

And the three colured flag
Was always the most beautiful:
We want always that one,
We want the freedom!

All united in only one treat,
Pressed close to the flag,
We’ll cry morning and evening:
Long long life to he three colours!

I bambini cantano una canzone patriottica intitolata " La bandiera di tre colori". Dice:

E la bandiera di tre colori
sempre è stata la più bella:
noi vogliamo sempre quella,
noi vogliam la libertà!

Tutti uniti in un sol patto,
stretti intorno alla bandiera,
griderem mattina e sera:
viva, viva i tre color!

Happy Pancake Day!

Kind regards, Bulgarian Team

8 March, Happy Pancake Day!

Hi, dear Italian friends!
On the 8 March we celebrate the Pancake Day. It is an old tradition in many countries like England, the USA, Canada, Australia. We'd like to tell about this ritual and we found out something interesting:
"In the United Kingdom of Great Britian, Northern Ireland and several other countries around the world, Pancake Day is celebrated with fun, games, and of course a lot of eating. However, the most well known activity on this day is the Pancake Day race at Olney in Buckinghamshire, England which has been held since 1445. It all began when a woman was cooking pancakes on Shrove Tuesday to use up all of her perishables before Lent. While she was still cooking she heard the chiming of the bells summoning her to church. Not wanting to be late, the woman ran to church with her apron on and the frying pan still in her hand. Little did she know that this would start a tradition that would be around for over 500 years!

Only women are allowed to participate in this race. They must run a designated path with a frying pan and end up at the church. They must have a hot pancake in the frying pan which they must flip at least three times before they complete the race. The first woman to complete the race and arrive at church with the pancake is declared the winner. She then serves the pancake to the bellringer and is rewarded with a kiss from the bellringer called the “Kiss of peace”. This race still occurs in England and in several other cities."

This week Darina and I had got two lessons about this festival. Our pupils were glad that learned more of it. Hope that your children will like this holiday, too.
Kind regards, Reny, Darina, pupils

3rd March, Bulgarian National Day!

Dear, friends!
Today is Bulgarian National Day! We'd like to share with you our joy of it. Sing and dance this lovely patriotic song, "Where is Bulgaria"! It is written by the famous Bulgarian poet and novelist Ivan Vazov. Hope that you like it!
Kind regards, Bulgarian Team

They ask me where is the dawn, shine me first
They ask me where the land is just the most loving of the world ...
And I would answer, where the Danube flows
And the Black Sea to the east brighter ...
Where stands proud Balkan
And Maritza quietly pass through the Thracian Plain ...
Bulgaria, dredge and honey, a land full of goodness
Land that feeds me, bow to her ...

It's Carnival! / E' Carnevale!

6th-7th-8th March/ 6-7-8 Marzo
As every year, also this year Carnival in Here!

We celebrate this festivities just in the last three days before Lent (Sunday, Monday and Tuesday) and, to say goodbye to the enjoyments , we organize parties, masks parades, big dinners with meatballs, wine, pancakes and all kind of Italian goods. Children dress up with their fantastic and colourful costumes, go around the town and in our "Villa Comunale Park" and enjoy themselves a lot singing, playing, making tricks and throwing coloured confetti.
