We’re in Autumn , so all the classroom activities in class second B are centred on the Autumn theme. Children are guided to observe various autumn elements using all their senses and to describe them using appropriate words. Firstly they bring at school real autumn leaves, many and different in colours, sizes and shapes and observed in this way:
Siamo in Autunno, perciò tutte le attività scolastiche in classe 2^B sono incentrate sul tema autunnale. Gli alunni vengono guidati ad osservare vari elementi autunnali usando tutti i loro sensi e a decriverli usando termini adeguati. Prima portano a scuola vere foglie autunnali, tante e diverse nei colori, grandezze e forme e le osservano così:
• They look at them, touch, smell them and listen to them /Le osservano,
toccano,odorano e ascoltano.
• They describe in Italian in oral way/le descrivono oralmente .
• They register the adjectives they use/ registrano gli aggettivi usati.
• They use them to write the descriptions in the various phases ( looking,
touching, smelling, listening,..)and to create little chants and poems/ Li usano
per scrivere le descrizioni nelle varie fasi ( guardare, toccare, odorare,
ascoltare,...) e per creare piccole filastrocche e poesie.
• They use the adjective to describe with acrostics / usano gli aggettivi per
descrivere con acrostici .
• Together we translate them in English/ insieme li traduciamo in Inglese.
• They use the list of the English adjectives and photos of the leaves to produce, using Word, the descriptions below/Usano la lista degli aggettivi inglesi e le foto delle foglie per produrre usando Word, le descrizioni seguenti.
Then we pass to describe in the same way some autumn fruits: chestnuts and a pumpkin. They observe them looking, touching, smelling, tasting and produce written in Italian and in English on their copybook and on the computer using Word and Power Point.
Poi passiamo a descrivere nello stesso modo alcuni frutti autunnali: castagne e zucche. Li osservano guardando, toccando, odorando e gustando e producono scritti in Italiano e in Inglese sul loro quaderno e sul computer usando Word e Power Point.
